Ready, set, go! Navient announces Ladders & Laces 5K Run/Walk to support Hanover Township Fire Department
January 06 2016 - 1:01PM
Unusually crowded gyms are a hallmark at the start of every new
year, as many people make their resolutions for a more
fit-friendly, health-conscious year ahead. Now is the time to lace
up sneakers and slip on sweat bands. In order to help support local
residents’ new 2016 fitness routine and the construction of a new
firehouse for the Hanover Township Fire Department, Navient has
announced its first Ladders & Laces 5K race to be held on
Sunday, April 3.
“The Hanover Township Fire Department has always been there for
our community in times of need,” said Lisa Stashik, vice president,
Navient. “We are extremely grateful for the firefighters in our
area, and this is our way of returning the favor through a day
filled with fun and exercise for the whole community.”
In addition to the 5K, Navient, the nation’s leading loan
management, servicing and asset recovery company, will also host
its popular Jeans BeCause program, which offers participating
employees a “pass” to dress casually on certain days for volunteer
donations. All proceeds will benefit the Hanover Township Fire
Department.
Navient’s Ladders & Laces 5K will be held at 220 Lasley
Ave., Hanover Township, Pa. Registration will open at 7 a.m. and
the race will begin at 9 a.m.
Advance registration is available with a $20 registration fee
for those who sign up now until Feb. 1 and $25 thereafter up until
race day. T-shirts will be guaranteed to all participants who are
pre-registered by March 25. Trophies will be awarded to first,
second and third place male and female winners. The event will be
held rain or shine.
Those interested may also visit the Ladders & Laces 5K event
