By Ben Fox Rubin Google Inc.'s (GOOG) industry-leading position in U.S. Internet search remained unchallenged, as the pecking order of search sites stayed the same in July, according to market researcher comScore Inc. (SCOR). Google's market share was flat at 66.8% in July from the previous month. Microsoft Corp.'s (MSFT) sites and IAC/InterActiveCorp.'s (IACI) Ask Network saw their shares edge up 0.1 percentage point each, to 15.7% and 3.1%, respectively. Yahoo Inc.'s (YHOO) share remained at 13% and AOL Inc.'s (AOL) share was also flat at 1.5%. Americans conducted 17.69 billion core searches last month, up 3.3% from June. Google sites ranked first, with 11.81 billion searches, followed by Microsoft with 2.77 billion and Yahoo with 2.29 billion. ComScore measures U.S. explicit core searches, which exclude contextual searches that don't reflect any intent by users.
