Andromeda Box™ IoT platform made for Brillo, Google's new operating
system (OS) based on Android, with native support for Weave
communication protocol. Powered by Marvell's system-on-chip (SoC)
application processors, networking and wireless connectivity
technologies, the Andromeda Box is designed specifically for the
rapid prototyping and development of IoT gateways and smart
devices. The Andromeda Box leverages the simplicity of a
well-supported developer kit and console with a variety of core
services built directly into the OS. It also natively supports the
Weave protocol, enabling phones and devices to talk to each other
locally and remotely through the cloud.

The first Andromeda Box platform, Andromeda Box Edge, features
Marvell's IAP140, a quad-core ARM Cortex A53 application processor,
together with Wi-Fi, Bluetooth and 802.15.4 connectivity solutions,
targeting high performance smart devices. Andromeda Box Connect, to
follow as the second platform, features Marvell's ARMADA® 385
dual-core ARM Cortex A9 application processor with integrated SATA,
Wi-Fi, Bluetooth 802.15.4 and 2.5GbE uplink to cloud services,
ideally suited for IoT gateway solutions.
Marvell's Andromeda Box developer board will be available for
purchase online in early November
2015.
