Mercury Computer Systems Inc. (MRCY) poached the financial chief
of SeaChange International Inc. (SEAC) to succeed its own retiring
chief financial officer.
Last week, SeaChange said its CFO Kevin M. Bisson had resigned
to accept a position at another publicly traded company.
Tuesday, Mercury Computer said Bisson joined to replace CFO
Robert E. Hult, who is retiring from that position today. Hult
agreed to stay on part time for a while to help the transition.
Bisson had served as the Seachange's CFO, treasurer, secretary
and senior vice president of finance and administration since
joining the video-gear maker in March 2006. He has also worked at
United Technologies Corp. (UTX).
Mercury, which makes computer systems and software for defense
electronics and medical imaging, reported lower earnings in its
latest quarterly results as sales to commercial customers
dropped.
Shares closed Tuesday up 1.8% at $13.59 and weren't active after
hours. Through the close, the stock has fallen 29% in the last
year, worse than the market at large.
