DOW JONES NEWSWIRES Green Mountain Coffee Roasters Inc. (GMCR) has agreed to sell Starbucks Corp.'s (SBUX) coffee and Tazo tea brands for its Keurig Single-Cup brewing system starting this fall. Two weeks ago, Green Mountain agreed to sell coffee from Starbucks' rival, Dunkin' Donuts, another move in an increasingly competitive market for individual coffee portions. Meanwhile, the licensing agreement further expands Starbucks' presence in the single-cup coffee market, following the launch of the coffee giant's VIA Ready Brew last year. The agreement provides for the manufacturing, marketing and selling of Starbucks and Tazo-branded K-Cup portion packs throughout the U.S. and Canada. Shares of Green Mountain closed at $43.64 and were inactive premarket. As of Wednesday's close, the stock is up 42% the past year. Starbucks was also inactive premarket after closing at $34.54. -By Melodie Warner, Dow Jones Newswires; 212-416-2283; melodie.warner@dowjones.com
