Company Adds Vice Presidents to Holding Company
Relations and Global Alliances and Channels Teams
Rocket Fuel (NASDAQ:FUEL), a leading Programmatic Marketing
Platform provider, today announced two top industry executives have
joined its sales and services team as the company continues to
aggressively execute its agency relations and expanded channel
strategy. James Huang has joined Rocket Fuel as vice president of
global alliances and channels, and Phil Frank has joined the
company as vice president for holding company relations.
Huang will focus on further driving Rocket Fuel’s strategy to
expand relationships with marketers and brands. To support this
strategy, Rocket Fuel is actively pursuing partnerships with
companies that have close ties to marketers and enterprises,
including major systems integrators, VARs, consulting companies and
enterprise platform companies. Huang has extensive enterprise
software experience having held alliances and channels leadership
roles at Oracle, Siebel, Callidus Cloud, SAP and, most recently,
Workday. While at Workday, Huang worked with the top five Global
System Integrators to build go-to-market offerings providing
innovation and increased revenue opportunities, and implemented a
scalable framework for implementation success.
Frank brings a strong digital marketing background to Rocket
Fuel with extensive agency experience. He will play a crucial
leadership role in Rocket Fuel’s strategy to deepen relationships
with agency holding companies, an important revenue driver for
Rocket Fuel. Most recently, Frank served as vice president at
Collective, a data-driven, programmatic advertising company. Among
the first wave of professionals to embrace online marketing, Frank
has held digital advertising positions at Infoseek, America Online,
Time Warner and BabyCenter. He also spent two years as chief
revenue officer for Batanga Media, the largest independent digital
media and content company for the U.S. Hispanic market.
“The pivot Rocket Fuel has made toward deepening agency
relationships, particularly with trading desks, is being strongly
validated in the market, and we’re fortifying our team to further
support this important strategic focus,” said Rocket Fuel Interim
CEO Monte Zweben. “We’re also seeing strong traction from our
efforts with channel partners, particularly marketing services
providers and systems integrators who have strong ties to CMOs and
enterprises. Hiring top-flight talent like James and Phil is a
further investment in these opportunities for Rocket Fuel’s growth.
James and Phil are strong industry executives with the specific
experience needed to lead these key areas and deliver on our
company’s strategy.”

managed services, as well as a SaaS-based Data Management Platform
(DMP) and Demand Side Platform (DSP), to optimize performance,
