(STP) and six other companies have formed a lobby to promote solar power worldwide and to combat complaints of low-cost solar panels being dumped on European and U.S. markets, Bloomberg News reported Thursday. The other companies include Siemens AG (SIE.XE), Applied Materials Inc. (AMAT), Dow Corning, Phoenix Solar AG (PS4.XE) and Lanco Infratech Ltd. (532778.BY), according to the report. A complaint from SolarWorld AG against Chinese solar-panel firms led to tariffs on panels, which could lead to increasing costs for consumers, according to Bloomberg.
