Ok to not care if you have sold. However, the distinction is important to that who still own it (not me), or are considering a purchase (maybe, though I am skeptical--I am inclined to let it take the .53 hit and see how it gets valued simply on the prospect of being Invent-a-whatsis).

Given that you pumped that divi and didn't really understand it - I think maybe your true colors are showing.

LOL i don't care what investo pedia says so I am not bothering with link. Company cut off date for divi is friday all in by friday will have divi distribution in 3 days. I don't care anyway as I don't own this anymore!

In other words, the .53 cent drop that will happen, other things equal, when EONC goes ex-dividend has not happened yet.

They may have news - but the stock is worth .53 less after the dividend has been issued (from whatever level the news might take it to). That is basic market mechanics.

No it hasn't. Shareholders of record as of 4pm tomorrow. The special shareholders mtg isn't until 2 weeks from now though. We wouldn't see any drop that you are suggesting before then but we may see a lot of upside movement in the meantime. There are some things that the company may announce pre-merger. Inventergy is making moves and they won't wait until the merger to let people know about them. Just my .02 from watching them so far.

A stock trades "ex-dividend" after the point when holders who get the dividend is determined. If you buy once it is "ex-dividend" you don't get the dividend.

So - my question is - did EONC drop from the 4s to the low 3s BECAUSE it went ex-dividend (which you would expect if there is a .53 or so dividend)? If not, you've got another .53 drop coming when it DOES go ex-dividend.

Looking like a pullback this morning so things should get interesting. Today is a good day to see where the market is on EONC. WHat happens today will be a better predictor as to were the PPS will go. If it pullsback and continues to rally then the PPS could return to 52 week high we will see. I believe we are expecting an another outside analyst report also. If we go above $5 we start to attract eyes from a whole different crowd of investors so lots of potential thats for sure! $EONC

I am not one to give specific targets like that. I believe it is possible to reach any of those truthfully the market has shown a liking to EONC. Lets see what today brings! $EONC

If this can break $5.26 this will run over $6 pretty quickly looks like. Steadily increasing volume as well. Would love to see entire float traded in a day. Maybe sometime in the next few days.

I have had it happen before on big gainers often they can open back up with big news or even open much higher. They may be wondering why insane volume spike and 100%+ PPS move past couple days. The company issued that PR also which is unusual because the PR basically said the same thing the previous PR said.

I think it's triggering a halt due to the volatility.....

A pending merger and special dividend has initiated an analyst report. The company has chosen May 23, 2014 as the date of record for the special dividend. As a result all stockholders of record will be paid within three business days after the closing of the merger.

100% move this week would be nice and very possible. I have been expected 100% gain on my money or close to it. $EONC
