Google Inc. (GOOG), Amazon.com Inc. (AMZN), eBay Inc. (EBAY), Facebook Inc. (FB) and other big Internet companies are starting an association to represent their interests in Washington, Reuters news agency reported Thursday on its website, citing an unnamed person close to the group. Beckerman wouldn't identify the association's members or discuss what issues it would address, the report said, but it cited the source as saying its leading members were Google, Amazon, eBay and Facebook.
