DOW JONES NEWSWIRES Cisco Systems Chief Executive John Chambers said Thursday that uncertainty from Europe is behind the company's lower guidance on upcoming earnings. "The first and most major [issue] is uncertainty in Europe" and that some of the challenges facing southern Europe have spread to central and northern Europe, Chambers told Fox Business Network in an interview. "The second part is uncertainty on CEOs," Chambers added, referring to caution in markets. "Not on the mid-size companies, but in the very large companies that, until they see more predictability in terms of what's going to happen in Europe, and more predictability on some of the government policies, you see them not putting on the brakes, but you see them lifting up their foot off the gas pedal to watch."
