DOW JONES NEWSWIRES Cisco Systems Inc. (CSCO) agreed to acquire Truviso Inc., a real-time network data analysis and reporting software maker, in an effort to strengthen its network management platform, Cisco Prime. Financial terms weren't disclosed and Cisco expects to complete the deal in the fourth quarter. Historically one of Silicon Valley's most active buyers, Cisco has focused more recently on acquiring start-ups and small companies, like ClearAccess, a maker of customer-premise-equipment management software. But the networking-equipment giant also agreed in March to acquire video-software maker NDS Group Ltd. for $4 billion, the company's biggest deal in more than two years and a reflection of Cisco's focus on video. Shares were trading 4 cents higher at $19.88 premarket. The stock is up about 10% so far this year. -By Melodie Warner, Dow Jones Newswires; 212-416-2283; melodie.warner@dowjones.com
