accreditation are Capella’s Bachelor of Science (BS) in
Business, Master of Business Administration

Established in 1988, ACBSP is the only organization offering
specialized business accreditation for all degree levels, from
associate to baccalaureate to doctoral degree programs. ACBSP’s
accreditation process, based on the criteria of the Malcolm
Baldridge National Quality Award, evaluates institutional
leadership, strategic planning processes, community relationships,
academic quality, faculty credentials, and educational support to
determine if an institution offers a rigorous educational
experience and demonstrates continuous quality improvement.
“We’re extremely proud to receive accreditation from ACBSP, an
organization respected worldwide for its focus on educational
excellence and continuous improvement in business education,” said
Barbara Butts Williams, Ph.D., Capella University’s dean of
Business. “With this accreditation, our students can be confident
that their Capella business program features high quality faculty;
relevant, current coursework; and student learning outcomes focused
on the knowledge and skills employers look for when they hire.
Employers often seek graduates of an ACBSP-accredited program
because they see it as a reliable indicator of the quality of a
business program.”
“Capella University has shown their commitment to teaching
excellence and to the process of quality improvement by
participating in the accreditation process,” said ACBSP Chief
Accreditation Officer Steve Parscale, PhD, who will present the
Certificate of Initial Accreditation at the ACBSP Conference 2015
in Philadelphia on June 14. “This accreditation is evidence that
Capella is committed to providing the highest quality business
education for their students.”
