(Channel 104), Comcast's regional cable network covering Northern
and Central California, today
announced that it will televise 23 high school football games this
season (see complete schedule below). In its sixth year
of covering prep football, Comcast Hometown Network (CHN)'s games
will continue to appear under the banner of "Xfinity High School
Sports," and will be available on Channel 104 to Comcast digital
cable customers. Most telecasts will also be streamed live at
http://www.chnlivestreaming.tv. CHN's schedule kicks off on
Friday, August 28th at
7:30 p.m. with live coverage of
defending Division I state champion Folsom
High School hosting Clayton Valley
High School.

Play-by-play announcers for Comcast Hometown Network's high
school football games will be veteran announcer Joe
Castellano, San Jose SaberCats head coach
Darren Arbet, Dave Lewis from KCBS Radio and Woodside High's former football coach
Steve Nicolopulos.
In addition to Clayton Valley and Folsom, CHN's high school
football schedule features many of the top prep teams in Northern
and Central California, including
Granite Bay, Leigh, Branham,
Rancho Cotate, Cardinal Newman and Bellarmine.
The "Xfinity High School Sports" prep contests will premiere on
Comcast Hometown Network (Channel 104), and will be replayed
several times. In addition, the 23 complete games will also
be available any time of the day or night via Comcast's popular On
Demand platform, which is free to Comcast digital customers. To
view Comcast Hometown Network games On Demand, Comcast Digital
Cable customers can tune to Channel 1 on their Digital Cable
lineup or press the On Demand button on their remote control, then
click on the "Get Local" section, then click on "Sports
& Fitness," and select "Football."
Comcast Hometown Network (www.comcasthometown.com) continues to
be one of the top destinations for local sports coverage. The
network is in its seventh season of airing LIVE minor league
baseball games -- this year televising games from the California
League and the Pacific Coast League, featuring the San Jose Giants
and the Fresno Grizzlies. In addition, CHN also televises key
high school basketball matchups featuring prominent prep programs
throughout Northern and Central
California. Comcast Hometown Network has also televised San
Jose SaberCats games from the Arena Football League, Stockton
Thunder ECHL hockey contests, and college football and basketball
games.
