Sanofi-Aventis Completes Tender Offer For Chattem, Inc.

French drug company Sanofi-Aventis Tuesday said it has completed
its tender offer for all outstanding shares of common stock of
Chattem, Inc (CHTT).
MAIN FACTS:
- As of the expiration time, approximately 18,611,072 shares of
Chattem common stock were validly tendered and not withdrawn
representing approximately 89.8% of the shares on a fully-diluted
basis.
- All shares that were validly tendered and not validly
withdrawn have been accepted for purchase.
- Chattem will become an indirect, wholly-owned subsidiary of
Sanofi-Aventis.
