AeroVironment Inc. (AVAV) appointed Jikun Kim as the company's new chief financial officer to replace Stephen Wright, who resigned Wednesday.

Kim has served the technology innovation company that designs unmanned aircraft systems as vice president and controller since June 2009. Before that, he was chief financial officer of Raytheon Vision Systems, a $240 million detection and imaging device maker.

Wright, who has resigned to pursue other business opportunities, will stay with the company until April 30.

AeroVironment's Chief Executive Tim Conver thanked Wright for his contribution to the company.
