Carnegie Learning’s research team is helping to improve how math is taught through relevant research

(NASDAQ: APOL), announced today that it is a proud sponsor of the 17th International Conference on Artificial Intelligence in Education (AIED 2015). Carnegie Learning’s Co-founder and Chief Scientist, Steve Ritter, Ph.D., and Research Scientist, Stephen E. Fancsali, Ph.D., will be in attendance to present current research findings.

AIED 2015, a conference for high quality research in intelligent systems and cognitive science for educational computing applications, is taking place in Madrid, Spain, from June 22-26, 2015. Dr. Ritter will be presenting industry and innovation reports on Differentiation and Mastery Learning in Practice: Metrics and Visualizations for Cognitive Tutor Algebra (co-authored with Dr. Fancsali and with Ambarish Joshi, Carnegie Learning Research Analyst) and Small Improvement for the Model Accuracy Big Difference for the Students (co-authored with Michael Yudelson, Ph.D., Carnegie Learning Research Scientist).

The Carnegie Learning team will also be present at Education Data Mining (EDM) 2015 in Madrid, Spain, following the AIED 2015 conference, where they will release four papers on topics such as adaptive learning, knowledge tracing, and causal relationships between student activity and learning outcomes in Cognitive Tutor.
