StarHub Ltd. (CC3.SG) said Wednesday its fiscal fourth-quarter
net profit rose 10.1%, helped by higher revenue from equipment
sales, driven by strong demand for the Apple Inc.'s new iPhones 6
range.
Net profit for the October-to-December quarter was 94.2 million
Singapore dollars (US$75.34 million) compared with S$85.7 million a
year earlier, the Singapore-based telecommunications company said
in a regulatory filing. Its total revenue grew 5.1% during the
quarter to S$647.4 million compared with S$616.0 million.
The company's Ebidta margin also grew 2.9% during the quarter to
33.8% from 30.9% during the same period last year.
For the current fiscal year, StarHub expects its service revenue
to grow in low single digit range, but didn't specify how much. It
expects its Ebidta margin to be about 32% of its services revenue,
and plans to spend 13% of its total revenue as capital expenditure
during the year. The capital expenses will not include its payments
to construct MediaHub project, it said.
