Scaling definition :
How the characteristics of an object change as you change the size of yourmeasuring device. For a three dimensional object, it could be the volume of an objectcovered as you increase the radius of a covering sphere. In a times series, it could be thechange in the amplitude of the time series as you increase the increment of time.
