Mezzanine Debt


Mezzanine Debt definition :
The component of capital structure in between of senior loans and equities. It is junior, subordinated debt that incorporates equity-based options, like warrants, and is usually used to finance leveraged buyouts (LBOs). Mezzanine debt ranks junior to bank loans but senior to the equity.
