Red Rock Resources (RRR)

- The forward makes amazing reading - particularly like the prospects for JMS & RSL. Re JMS: How big is "very large" I wonder?? Shareholders will note that to be a force in this sector it is necessary to be or to become very large, and we expect both to see the value of the Company's shareholding in Jupiter increase greatly in value.

- Too damn right, there is much reward for patience here in my opinion and even if short term PIs go somewhere else this will not come off their watch list and a little RNS in 7 weeks or so and off we go, keep with it all

- UPS ACHL 45p Reason - due to list and start trading on HK Stock Exchange on 26th November. Been edging up for quite a while and the HK listing may lead to a price spike if there are insufficient shares in HK to meet demand from investors.

- Yes, Cel, your comment on the patterns previously here ... it will be very interesting to see if tha last downward leg of this phase gets repeated now .. doesn't seem to be enough volume to move it back so it could very well get moved down again i imagine ... another buying opportunity may present itself soon

- The risk rating given to the company will be indicated to a large extent by the value given to the preference shares. The return to redemption will discount the risk of default. They will also attract a different class of holder than normally frequents bb's, so it will be very interesting to see how they behave.

Btg (BGC)
17:45:15 24/11/2009
- betman - my opinion in short is that the market was disappointed with there being no partner for Varisolve and the fact that BTG will have to pay out $70 million to get this to the point of approval and as with any such medical product there is no guarantee of FDA approval. Others who regularly post here may give a different opinion.

- Look the two of you are good posters on this thread, just agree to disagree and move on. 31,000 traded at full price, I do think the funds a lapping up retail sales. Why sell now, just have some patience at least until the IPO.

- The advisors who put this ridiculous shorting opportunity together need to be called to account. This is what the FSA should be looking at. Peel Hunt Hoare Govett Rothschild fees etc should be performance related...in which case they deserve nothing. Jail is too kind. Thieving scum. ... GF, its time to stand up and be counted.

- +Surely the extended finance availability at least means that a rights issue is not on the cards, and it does demonstrate that the banks are willing to back the Company.Fingers crossed for the dividend next week. Speedys figures are due out in the morning, dont expect them to be very pretty.

- Modest gains from LLOY, JNY & KDD helped reduce my fall to only -0.1% today. Glad I topped up on JNY yesterday. Aleman, must be interesting living on that bedrock, the earth certainly seems to move for you! MrP

- Topped up again with another 4K shares at 65p. Hope I am not catching a falling knife. Need to have a look at the RNS to try and decide if it is a good deal. If market knew in advance then I would suggest it doesn't think so.

Highland Gold Mining (HGM)
17:07:49 24/11/2009
- A bit quiet on this thread today. Was looking good until the DoW decided to do an impression of a yo-yo but there should be a lot more mileage in HGM before Xmas. Remember that they are looking to buy with all their cash before the end of the year.

- H - it's just a hunch and nothing more. I read somewhere a couple of weeks ago that a fund manager from GLG, who I believe ran their european fund had left the company almost a year ago and had started to work for another fund, and had subsequently underperformed his old fund since joining. Add to that, GLG disposed of some IQE not to long ago.
