... and I believe the full results are out this month too, with the news today and the interim last, I reckon a good longterm punt is on the cards, "i'm in". No speculation on SP from me though, its to cheesy to post those, let the results tell you, we have most in black and white now, just need the full results to clarify the whole picture, onward and upward.

They had to go down the path of an open offer rather than a rights issue Ignoring the placing part of the refinancing, why would an open offer be riskier than a rights issue and why would they be forced to choose it? Is it simply in the hope that investors would feel more inclined to take up the offer, being unable to have control over the selling of their rights?

My my, but it's all gone quite around here...only 3 trading days left before the biggest day in MRP's history and probably the last trading days in MRP. When the votes are finished being counted the president can rise and march forth to multiply our wealth...hopefully!

yes...when cleared the MM's will automatically move the price up.....looks like the plus market yesterday moved the price up too soon....at the end of the day they moved it back down again..............

Does anyone think people might bet on other things other than football? I love a flutter but only big time on tennis - 2 outcomes and all that! I know others aren't so prudent. Thanks jb2. To be frank, I wasn't expecting anything more but just wanted to make it clear to them how many of us feel. In all honesty, I think GE is just trying to exert indirect pressure on the pension trustees.
