- RAMILLAR 17:38:43 19/11/2009
- Difficult to understand why Voda has been so sluggish in recent years - treated like a utility. It is traded by so many, I guess, that a rise means profit taken etc. I thought that another reason was the sheer volume of shares in circulation, and there would be inertia until that number was reduced.
- Beardmore 09:40:25 19/11/2009
- Some truth in what you say, Abdullla, but a bit over-extended. Short term manipulation is a certainty but only the frothing, swivel-eyed would believe that the market is permanently in the hands of gamblers. Truth - in the form of an appropriate share price - will out.
- restassured 09:03:05 19/11/2009
- I think you are right but only when it comes to smaller companies. A huge company like Vodafone is much more order driven and highly liquid. The bid/offer spread is very tight. Smaller co's where he bid/offer can be as much as 20% are where the mm's are colluding to deceive and rip off investors. Those company's share prices are mm driven and not order driven.

- Phone your broker!record date was more important when everything was traded in paper,no longer an issue. If you had sold today you would qualify for the divi and broker would take care of the matter of the divi. What you feel is incorrect, trust me have traded for 30+yrs.
- Mazag2 12:24:00 17/11/2009
- long from 134 and waiting to pick up my divi tomorrow on CFD...will pick up again on the drop and then expect this to keep motoring ahead up through the 140s - would be nice to see a concerted effort to 150 but that might be too much at this point in time!
- 2NGH 19:35:21 16/11/2009
- Fantastic day today closing basically at the days high. Should see a continuation tomorrow as shorts close ahead of the dividend and a positive performance across the pond. Good luck all. PS CW. Looks a good bet with a very good dividend also.
