Look at AdvancedAdvT share price since it made the purchase from capita, compare that to capita’s share price, they have clearly done a good deal however JL spun the sale of these non core businesses, it hasn’t done Capita any good, except avoiding it going bust maybe. They were badly run, just like what we are left with.

There is no issue with anyone shorting Capita unless it's all hidden!!UK Economy is improving, and things are getting better. But Capita share price is sinking!!There has to be a determined seller in play. We'll find out in due course. Hopefully, once done, the share price will rocket without any reason

Ticked up a perfect explanation of the accounts:

"it's messy!" :-)

It's not going to be any clearer next year either with the costs of the additional restructuring while the first wave is still bedding in.

Slide 15 is a useful guide to cashflow, it shows the one offs and how they affected cashflow.

Slide 16 shows expectations for next year which will probably look pretty similar at a headline level... hopefully with a better outlook.

The positive signs are on page 17:

No pension defecit payments from 2025
£60 million of cost savings from 2024
£100 million of further cost savings in progress.

Temper the 2024 cost savings with the cost of implimenting the £100 million cost savings and we won't really see the benefits until 2025.

Cashflow should improve in 2024 according to the presentation, but non-cash items will increase.

Book to bill value is at 1.1x (they are writing more business than they are completing), while margins on the business they are writing is improving. Order book bridge is on page 27.

I still think 2025 is the year Capita starts to see the results of the work of seven years previous. I think the share price will move on the first indication of this. I think we saw that when the price breached 40p back in March 2023, unfortunately that turned out to be premature.

I think the results were disappointing, but not unexpected with a new man in charge. It wasn't terrible for a resetting of expectations, but certainly less ebullient than JL's parting comments.

... just some mixed up thoughts from me.

Fearlfull LSE have to agree trades since 6th now equal buys / sells but 35% drop, mm deffo taking advantage imho

If anyone has paid any attention to what I posted in regards to the suppoused declared buy and sell volumes figures, you could easily work out if you add these up that you would get an almost equal number buys and sells figures on equal levels.

What does that say to you?

To me it says that we have a new breed of very keen share price bargain hunters that couldn't resist taking a chunk of the fallen stock.

I would say that we have someone or even some new institutional investors that perhaps have grabbed a 1% of cpi stock if you've taken in consideration that there's about 80millions new shares being purchased whilst about the same got sold off to the bottom of the sea the real bargain hunters.

Will these sell at a 5, 10, 15 or 20% profit once cpi rebounds? Who knows

I would wait on that tone Trade4ever, there does seem some movement of the liquidity on share trades. The position of Buy and sells probably will not filter through for a day or 2 if the Buyers have built up a position with the amount of sold.

13 March 2024 shares traded 19,879,317
12 March 2024 shares traded 17.772,762
11 March 2024 shares traded 17,060,177

Historical Data shows a positive position on the Buyers but the share price fell. With the trades on the London Stock Exchange show off book/Sint etc.

Capita Outlook has been mentioned, it depends if you have faith in the new CEO and the plan which is ongoing but will present Capital Market in June.

The CEO bought shares in small amounts. All people can do is have patience and wait. The market one one-month share price crashes the following month they go up quickly it is the way of Investing Roller Coaster.

My outlook is Medium to long term so it is a hold and average down when others let emotions guide them and sell.

Happy Investing

That is true I entered on a low point recently and looking long term. An example of waiting and seeing the share price fall would be Pendragon last year now 12 months on it has sold. THG share price has gone up and down past 12 months like other companies.

I consider CPI at this point a good bet in the long term either on a buyout or recovery. It depends on how people feel about how the company is presently run. A CEO is starting and the old one is leaving. The company has contracts in the pipeline that have been announced and an outlook to offload certain assets reducing debt. That sounds like a good plan but also sounds good to other PE Funds.

So if you are underwater now and your average is below 33p, I would think what I wrote in the coming year or 2.

Seems all here are disappointed with the Share Price. With recent news of new Contracts and some board members buying the Share Price keeps falling. The question is
Do you feel the present fall in the share Price is due to the company's performance or general market conditions?

Generally, the market has been falling even Defensive stocks but what many people may miss is that the USA side does not mind. In an article last week, PE Funds, etc are looking at UK companies as undervalued to the point of laughing at Investors. They are running the rule over certain companies with debt, revenue, and future earnings. These can be leveraged on the debt etc.

Now many Investors look long term and do not look at the share price short term but in a year or 2. These people are Peter Lynch, Ben Graham, Waren Buffet, John Bogle, John Templeton, Jim Slater, Charlie Munger, and Michael Burry to name a few.

Infaltion has gone up, Companies market cap has gone down mostly across the board. The US PE Funds etc are holding cash and WAITING..Private Investros keep selling Institutions are holding share price keeps falling.

So you take a deep breath and think. If you are concerned with Share Price short-term Investing is not for you.
