- Holding up pretty well given the dire state of US demand, which, let's admit it, is the only real motor in the global economy. My broker questioned my sanity today (I have a 25k sell order at 620 and a 25k buy order at 520).. it's never happened before. I guess my honest boredom is confusing him.

- jaki hi i think bp does act like a miner ,it seems to be always digging a hole for itself !!!..however article in the times says bp sp to rise to a good premium during the next few months as it is a solid mega co with a good divi . something most posters on here have been saying for months .

- Evening all. Had trouble getting in to Parliament this afternoon. Not normally so difficult, must have been something on. Looking closely at cable. 1.673 as I type. Should be worth a heavy long in a few minutes. Plan is to get out at S1

- Morning all. So Warren's gone for Exxon. What we need now is one of those charts. I suppose if you were blessed with grandchildren and happened to have 3k spare, 1k in each of in Exxon, Wal-Mart and Nestle would give them a decent return 21 years from now. Better than day trading the same amount, that's for sure.

- Morning Peny. I think it's Jonny Punter. He likes resource stocks that pay dividends. BP is black gold. Rupert will eventually turn up at the cashpoint. But not just yet. Another theory is that the market rises when the new moon comes. But I haven't yet checked it out.

- Of course it's me. No-one else is that grumpy (apart from Id). Have you noticed that the 200 day moving average is only just over 500? In fact suspiciously close to that gap at 510. Clearly heading back down there, innit?
