LONDON--AMEC PLC (AMEC.LN), an international engineering and project management company, said Monday it has been awarded an engineering, procurement and construction, or EPC, contract by Dominion Resources Inc (D), a U.S. energy provider, to design and construct three solar projects in Marion County, Indiana.
MAIN FACTS:
-Under the contract, the value of which has not been disclosed, AMEC will provide EPC services including engineering, procurement of all materials including solar panels, construction, tie-in to the local electrical distribution system and commissioning.
-Work has begun and commercial production is expected to begin in late 2013.
-AMEC shares at 1000 GMT up 4 pence, or 0.38%, at 1068 pence valuing the company at 3.16 billion pounds.
