another application has been rolled out under ADVFN Desktop, called TradeScope.
TradeScope is similar in interface to TickScope, but rather than progressing over time, it simply records activity. This provides two advantages to TickScope:
- It can capture exceptionally quick movements of the price and Bid/Offer spread that would be missed in a TickScope and lost in a Chart. This helps in identifying unsupported movements, particularly in very fast moving stocks such as the most liquid on Nasdaq.
- It removes the time dimension from calculations, replacing it with "activity" - this can give a clearer picture of slower-moving stocks, removing the redundant periods of inactivity.
You can access it through Desktop directly, and I'll shortly be adding in a link on the Chart toolbar to get it operating there as well. Enjoy!
