U.S. Dollar Slides To Fresh 5-week Low Against Pound

(RTTNews) - The U.S. dollar extended its decline against the pound in the New York session on Friday as stocks gained after a report showed that the pace of U.S. economic growth in the second quarter exceeded economist estimates.
The greenback slipped to a fresh 5-week low of 1.5770 against the pound with 1.58 seen as the next downside target level. At yesterday's close, the pair was worth 1.5688.
