Pound Mixed Ahead Of U.K. Mortgage Approvals

(RTTNews) - At 4:30 am ET Thursday, the Bank of England is scheduled to issue U.K. mortgage approvals data for August. The number of mortgage approvals is seen at 60,200 versus 60,900 in July.
Ahead of the data, the pound showed mixed trading against its major rivals. While the pound pared gains against the greenback, it held steady against the franc, yen and the euro.
The pound was worth 1.3018 against the greenback, 132.11 against the yen, 0.8620 against the euro and 1.2637 against the franc as of 4:25 am ET.
