Loonie Mixed Ahead Of Canada's July Employment Report

(RTTNews) - Canada is set to release its jobs report for July at 8:30 am ET. Canada's net change in employment is expected to have slowed to 6,000 in the month compared to 7,300 jobs recorded in June. Unemployment rate is expected to have remained unchanged at 7.2 percent.
The Canadian dollar showed mixed performance against its major rivals ahead of the report. While the loonie held steady against the euro, it drifted lower against the greenback and the yen. As of 8:25 am ET, the Canadian currency was trading at 0.9948 against the US dollar, 78.80 against the yen and 1.2195 against the euro.
