(RTTNews) - The Indian rupee climbed against the U.S. dollar in early deals on Thursday as the latter weakened following Federal Reserve's announcement of new stimulus measures to boost the U.S. economy.
The Fed also committed to keep its monetary policy loose until it sees substantial improvement in the labor market.
The rupee strengthened to a 1-week high of 54.1050 per dollar with 54.00 likely seen as the next resistance level. The greenback-rupee pair ended yesterday's deals at 54.32.
