European Economics Preview: German Industrial Output Data Due

(RTTNews) - Industrial production from Germany and foreign trade from the U.K. are due on Tuesday, headlining a light day for the European economic news.

At 1.00 am ET, Statistics Estonia is scheduled to release December foreign trade figures.

At 1.45 am ET, the State Secretariat for Economic Affairs is set to issue Swiss unemployment data for January. The jobless rate is seen at adjusted 3.5 percent in January versus 3.4 percent in December.

At 2.00 am ET, Destatis releases German industrial output and foreign trade figures. Economists forecast production to climb 0.5 percent on a monthly basis in December reversing a 0.3 percent fall in November.

Germany's foreign trade surplus is expected to fall to EUR 20 billion in December from EUR 20.6 billion in November.

At 4.30 am ET, the Office for National Statistics publishes U.K. foreign trade figures. Economists expect the visible trade deficit to narrow to GBP 10.4 billion in December from GBP 10.64 billion in November.

At 5.00 am ET, the Hellenic Statistical Authority releases Greece industrial production figures for December.
