Dollar Mixed Ahead Of U.S. New Home Sales

(RTTNews) - The new home sales data for August will be released by the Commerce Department at 10:00 am ET Monday. The consensus estimate calls for a 5.1 percent decline to 598,000 new home sales, from 654,000 in July.

Ahead of the data, the greenback traded mixed against its major rivals. While the greenback declined against the yen and the euro, it held steady against the franc and the pound.

The greenback was worth 1.1251 against the euro, 1.2948 against the pound, 0.9684 against the franc and 100.38 against the yen as of 9:55 am ET.
