Australian Dollar Strengthens Further Against Majors

(RTTNews) - The Australian dollar strengthened further against the other major currencies in pre-European deals on Friday.

The aussie climbed to a 1-1/2-month high of 0.7300 against the greenback, 2-day high of 1.0918 versus the kiwi and more than a 2-week high of 0.9462 against the loonie, compared to Thursday's closing values of 0.7259, 1.0882 and 0.9447, respectively.

The aussie spiked up to 1.5453 against the euro, its highest since August 21, while approaching a 1-1/2-month high of 87.71 against the yen.

The aussie may possibly locate resistance around 0.74 against the greenback, 1.10 against the kiwi, 0.955 against the loonie, 89.00 against the yen and 1.52 against the euro.
