Absolutely it is a great loading zone. Now that they manipulated it and took it down 10%.-15% NOW… they’re coming out with their “ AMD could run 40%”?? and recommending it as a buy!

No shit Sherlock of course it will. And it will just get back to its previous all-time high of 220 to 225. Why not run this from up 40% from those highs! That’s Where it should be. $300-315 level! Where it WILL be eventually. Probably later this year if not early next year after the new AI chips and things get rolling with AI

New GPU's launched by AMD today:
Ryzen PRO 8040 for business laptops plus Ryzen PRO 8000 series for Desktops.
These will add billions of dollars to AMD revenues and bottom line.
To my knowledge AMD is the only serious competitor with NVDA on the GPU market at this point in time. Two upgrades today on AMD agree with this assessment . Target ranges from $200/share to $225/share.
AMD is still a big bargain today anywhere under $180 per share! Do not count any dip anytime soon.

I don't, which is why I jumped in......BUT I also don't underestimate the rulers of the market and here we are, economy in MUCH better place than a year ago, but they are emptying the coffers. Same thing happened last year about this time and I sold my NVDA at 150% gain......vice the 600% I could have gotten. So, NOT letting go, but wished I'd have waited.

AMD's new GPU's that are coming out this year will compete with the famous GPU's of NVDIA. Analysts are saying today that AMD plans to get 10% to 15% of this GPU market while NVDA will dominate the overall % of this market with their Blackwell line in this AI line of processors.
Do not underestimate the potential for AMD and their newest GPU's.

AMD trading $165- $170

The China news will be digested as 2027 means three more years of sales.

Chip stocks are very powerful.

Biden has already blocked USA semis from selling chips to China, and now China is also blocking chips from USA. Maybe China is replacing the chips with cheese and crackers? If China adds some beans and onions they can create methane gas for better fuel economy? They will figure out that the methane stinks and should forget the whole double blocking idea.
China would rather get Covid-19 and die than buy vaccine from the USA .

I get what's going on across the market. Let's just hope that this isn't a repeat of 2022.

I read your private message and unfortunately the answer is no. However, when Cramer speaks, we all know to do the opposite. Unfortunately, with AMD, so did SO MANY others. He is a walking SEC violation!

AMD is kingpin stock to accelerate the AI frenzy. Likely in the top 5-10 AI related picks. It is called the little sister to NVDA. Currently up $5.38 per share today and has plenty to grow after yesterday's Fed sell-off that was a great buying opportunity. Target is currently over $200 per share.

I'd buy now, but looks like doom and gloom in the market for awhile. Rate cuts getting more doubtful....or at least that's what people are hinged on, even though the economy is doing well. Can't just be happy there are no rate hikes. Since Nov 2021, it's always SOME excuse.

Advanced Micro Devices, Inc. (NASDAQ:AMD) is down 5.1% at $181.00, after Nvidia (NVDA) ramped up competition by unveiling a new flagship artificial intelligence (AI) chip during its annual developer conference. AMD sports a 96.9% year-over-year lead, despite cooling from its March 8, all-time high of $227.30, with long-term support from the 40-day moving average ready to contain this pullback.

Over at the International Securities Exchange (ISE), Cboe Options Exchange (CBOE), and NASDAQ OMX PHLX (PHLX), ADM's 50-day call/put volume ratio of 3.86 ranks higher than all but 2% of annual readings. This means bullish bets have been more popular than usual.

Though calls still outpace puts on an overall basis, 83,000 bearish have crossed the tape so far today, which is double the intraday average volume. The weekly 3/22 180-strike put is the most popular contract by far, with new positions currently being bought to open there.

It's worth noting Advanced Micro Devices stock ranks high on the Schaeffer's Volatility Scorecard (SVS), with a score of 98 out of 100. In simpler terms, the security exceeded option traders' volatility expectations in the past 12 months, which is a boon for premium traders.
