I suppose we will have to wait until Monday now to discover why AIP is currently "delisted" by ADVFN. :-(

Nice write up by Hastings in the Cambridge News today. Although the current year PER is circa 17 the actual EV is only a fraction over 9, after you strip out the cash, and the yield is 6%. Consequently I took advantage of the price dip this afternoon and topped up @3.92, although it is showing as a Sell.

Another 5.5% rise today on a very modest volume. The shareprice has increased by 20% over the past 4 weeks with a 15.4p dividend due on Monday as further icing on the cake. Another 10% to go in order to achieve the Liberium 480p price target.

Todays drop due to the shares going XD.

Air Partner plc declares 15.4p dividend

The ex-dividend date of this dividend is Thursday, May 14th. Some positive press coverage of yesterdays acquisition.

Air Partner spreads its wings in private jets
In Europe’s rapidly consolidating executive jet market, Air Partner, the quoted aviation broker, has acquired a specialist in leasing out homeless or distressed aircraft. Cabot Aviation works with airlines directly, or with banks and insolvency practitioners, to find homes for aircraft that are no longer affordable for their owners. It is working to lease the unwanted Embraer aircraft that are weighing heavily on FlyBe, on the Airbus aircraft made redundant by the receivership of Cyprus Airways, and on a fleet of ageing Chinese Boeing 747 freighters. Air Partner is hoping that Cabot can repeat the trick in the executive jet market. “The deal brings us new opportunities to go for,” Mark Briffa, Air Partner’s chief executive, said of a deal that is costing his company £1.2m.

Today, Thursday 30 April according to Sharescope, instead of the usual volume of below 50k AIP shares traded there were 1.41m traded. The small rise in the share price suggests some sort of roll-over trade, but does anyone with ears to the ground have more information? Of course it may be a mistake.

The share price chart is looking encouraging.

Oil price decline has to be helpful for margins here - just as it has been helpful for the commercial airlines and Carnival etc.

The cost of chartering private jets will surely be going down as well with the oil price.

Good cash and good divi here and already languishing share price all add to AIP's attractions.
