FRANKFURT -(Dow Jones)- The Eurosystem's reserves of gold and gold receivables increased EUR1 million to EUR238.169 billion in the week ended October 30, the European Central Bank said Tuesday. The Eurosystem's reserves of net foreign currency decreased EUR500 million to EUR174.2 billion during the period. The ECB said cash in circulation increased EUR2.9 billion to EUR771.6 billion. The Eurosystem consists of the Frankfurt-based ECB and the 16 euro-zone national central banks. Slovakia joined the euro area as of January 1, 2009.
