Increases product portfolio with the addition of two ultra-low jitter oscillator families

MtronPTI, leader in precision frequency control, custom RF/microwave filters and solid state RF power amplifiers, today announced the addition of two ultra-low jitter oscillator families as part of a broad frequency control and timing product portfolio. These products are intended to be used in high performance timing applications for the datacom and other markets. Popular applications for these devices include: 10/40/100/400G Ethernet, 100G optical transport and reference clock for ASIC and FPGA.

These product families offer frequencies between 20MHz and 220MHz in both LVPECL and LVDS format with less than 100 fs RMS jitter (jitter performance depends on output frequency). Available in 5x7mm and 5x3.2mm surface mount ceramic packages designed for high-density mounting and optimized for mass surface mount production.

Ultra-low jitter clocks offer significant improvement in signal-to-noise ratio which improves overall system performance. These products utilize high performance 3rd overtone crystal technology with low-jitter performance guaranteed over the entire temperature range.

These products are a natural extension of MtronPTI’s current portfolio of frequency control and timing products which include OCXOs, TCXOs, VCXOs and crystals.
