By Liz Moyer Of DOW JONES NEWSWIRES NEW YORK -(Dow Jones)- Perella Weinberg Partners added ex-Goldman Sachs Group Inc. (GS) banker Alexander Schnieders as a managing director and part of its financial institutions group. The move continues a trend of bankers leaving so-called bulge-bracket banks like Goldman for smaller, independent firms that focus more of their business on advisory services. Schnieders will work with life and property and casualty insurance clients of Perella Weinberg, the firm said in a statement Monday. At Goldman, Schnieders was a managing director in the U.S. financial institutions group and co-head of the firm's U.S. insurance merger advisory practice. He joined Goldman in 2001 from J.P. Morgan Chase & Co. (JPM). -By Liz Moyer, Dow Jones Newswires; 212-416-2512; liz.moyer@dowjones.com; Twitter: @lizmoyer
