U.S. Geothermal Inc. Announces Annual General Meeting

BOISE, IDAHO--(Marketwired - May 6, 2014) - U.S. Geothermal Inc. (NYSEMKT:HTM)(TSX:GTH) (the "Company") is pleased to announce that its 2014 Annual General Meeting of stockholders will be held on Monday, July 14, 2014 at 10:00am MDT at the U.S. Geothermal Corporate Office, 390 E Parkcenter Blvd, Suite 250, Boise, Idaho 83706.

Items of Business to be conducted at the meeting include:

  1. The election of all five directors, each for a one-year term.
  2. The ratification of the selection of Martinelli Mick, PLLC as our independent auditor for the fiscal year ending December 31, 2014.
  3. Any other business that may properly be considered at the meeting or any adjournment of the meeting.

You may vote at the meeting if you were a shareholder of record at the close of business on May 15, 2014.

If you cannot attend the annual meeting in person, you may vote your shares by telephone or internet by no later than 1:00 a.m. Central time on July 13, 2014 (as directed on the enclosed proxy card), or by completing, signing and promptly returning the enclosed proxy card by mail. We encourage you to vote by telephone or internet in order to reduce our mailing and handling expenses. If you choose to submit your proxy by mail, we will enclose an envelope for your use, which is prepaid if mailed in the United States.

The Company had filed a Form 9A - Request for Extension for Financial Reporting/Annual Meeting on April 16, 2014 with the Toronto Stock Exchange ("TSX"). The TSX has confirmed that it does not object to the Company holding its next AGM on or before July 14, 2014.
