Hyderabad Stock Exchange (HSE)

History of the Hyderabad Stock Exchange :

The Hyderabad Stock Exchange Limited (HSEL) was officially opened on November 14, 1943. Prior to this, a leading group of bankers and brokers - including Gulab Mohammed, Kamal Yar Jung Bahadur, and Sri Purushothamdas Thakurdas - had gathered together in November of 1941 to exchange information and ideas. This would lead to the creation of the Share and Stock Brokers Association.

The HSE would have to wait until September of 1958 for official recognition from the Indian government as The Securities Regulation Act was made applicable to the twin cities of Hyderabad and Secunderabad.
