Breakouts

Breakouts
Share prices often fluctuate in value within fairly tight price boundaries, technical analysts call these boundaries levels of support(lowest price a share reaches) and resistance(highest price a share reaches). Breakouts shows shares that have broken through either of these price levels.

Breakouts give you three parameters with which you can filter stockmarket data.
Select these parameters from the drop down select boxes at the top of the page.

Finally whether you are looking for a price/volume that is "Breakout up" to a new high, or "Breakout down" to a new low.
Breakout levels can apply not only to the "price" of the shares but the "volume" of shares being sold. Extremely high/low volumes of shares can be filtered out using "average volume"
The length of the time period you are sampling.
"1 week", "4 weeks", "12 weeks" and "52 weeks" are available.
